PRACTICAL WORKFLOW NOTES
Resize for the Final Dimensions, Not Just a Smaller Image
Image Resizer changes pixel dimensions. Enter a width, a height, or both, then create resized JPG, PNG, or WebP output in the browser. When only one dimension is entered and Keep aspect ratio is enabled, the other dimension is calculated automatically. When both width and height are entered, the current tool resizes to those exact values, which can change the image proportions if the target ratio differs from the source.
Upload one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP files. Set the pixel dimension you need. Enter one dimension to preserve proportions automatically when Keep aspect ratio is enabled. Enter both width and height when the output must use those exact pixel values.
The useful controls in Image Resizer are meant to solve different file situations. Enter only width or only height and the other value is calculated from the source proportions. Enter both dimensions to force the output canvas to those values. A different target ratio can stretch or squeeze the image. The general Image Resizer changes dimensions directly; it is not the same as the social tools that offer Fill and crop or Fit with background.
The current Image Resizer decodes the source image, draws the requested pixel dimensions, and creates the result on your device. If the next task changes, Resize Image to 16:9 is the better follow-up when you need to use the fixed 1280×720 widescreen preset.
How to Use Image Resizer
Follow the workflow below and review the result before downloading.
Add images
Upload one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP files.
Enter width or height
Set the pixel dimension you need. Enter one dimension to preserve proportions automatically when Keep aspect ratio is enabled.
Set both dimensions when exact size matters
Enter both width and height when the output must use those exact pixel values.
Choose output format and compression
Keep the source format or choose JPG, PNG, or WebP, then use the available compression setting.
Resize and download
Create the resized images and save them individually or together as a ZIP.
Know When the Aspect Ratio Is Preserved
The tool can calculate one dimension from the other, but an exact width-and-height pair takes priority when both values are supplied.
One dimension + Keep aspect ratio
Enter only width or only height and the other value is calculated from the source proportions.
Exact width and height
Enter both dimensions to force the output canvas to those values. A different target ratio can stretch or squeeze the image.
No automatic crop mode
The general Image Resizer changes dimensions directly; it is not the same as the social tools that offer Fill and crop or Fit with background.
Same, JPG, PNG, or WebP output
Keep the source format or choose a different supported image format for the resized result.
Compression controls
JPG and WebP can use lossy compression settings. PNG output remains lossless.
Multiple images and ZIP
Resize several files in one session and download successful results individually or together.

PRIVACY & RESPONSIBLE USE
Resizing Happens in Your Browser
The current Image Resizer decodes the source image, draws the requested pixel dimensions, and creates the result on your device.
See File Security & Processing and the Privacy Policy for broader site-level details.
Exact dimensions can change proportions
When both width and height are forced to a different aspect ratio, the image can look stretched or compressed.
Resizing cannot add true source detail
Making an image larger creates more pixels but does not recreate detail that was never present in the source.
Use authorized images
Changing image dimensions does not change copyright or licensing.
