Frequently asked questions

Is PDF Core Tools free to use?

Yes. The currently published tools are available without a paid plan or account. This may change in the future, but any paid feature will be identified before use.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is currently required for the public browser tools.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

The current installed tool set is designed primarily for local browser processing. Selected document contents are read in browser memory. Tool pages disclose any exception or external processing requirement.

What happens when I close the tab?

The active in-memory workspace is normally cleared when the page is closed or reloaded. Files you downloaded remain wherever you saved them.

Does PDF Core Tools keep copies of my documents?

The current browser-processing tools do not create a document-conversion copy on the PDF Core Tools server. Normal web-server logs and contact messages are separate from document contents.

Why can a very large file be slow?

Browser tools use your device memory and processor. Large PDFs, high-resolution images, many pages, and older mobile devices can require more time or memory.

Are there file or page limits?

There is no fixed page or file-count limit in the browser-based workflows. Large or numerous files can take longer and use more memory depending on the device and browser.

Can I use the tools on a phone or tablet?

Yes, although complex or large documents generally work better on a desktop browser with more available memory.

Will the output look exactly like the original?

Not in every case. Fonts, transparency, forms, annotations, layers, tables, scanned pages, and unusual encodings can affect conversion or editing results.

Can I process password-protected or DRM-protected files?

The tools do not bypass passwords, encryption, DRM, or access restrictions. Use an authorized unlocked copy.

Can I process copyrighted documents?

Only when you own the material, have permission or a licence, or have another lawful basis to use it. Processing a file does not transfer copyright or remove licence obligations.

Which browsers work best?

A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari is recommended. Private browsing, strict security extensions, or disabled JavaScript may limit some functions.

Why do some tools load code from a CDN?

Browser libraries such as PDF and ZIP components may be delivered from trusted content-delivery networks. Those requests load software resources; they do not upload the selected document contents.

How can I report a technical problem?

Use the Contact page and include the tool name, browser, device, what you expected, and what happened. Do not attach confidential documents unless specifically requested through a secure method.

How can I make a privacy or copyright request?

Email pdfcoretools@gmail.com or choose the relevant category on the Contact page.

Will PDF Core Tools display advertising?

The site plans to use Google AdSense. Advertising and consent technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers as explained in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
